February 2010 The previous month's Church services and more... Social Committee Members of the Parish Council visited our parishioners at the nursing homes on Sunday, November 22nd for the Thanksgiving Holiday. It was a lovely afternoon and a great pleasure to see everyone. Thank you so very much to the parish council members who attended. May God bless you and your families.		Greek Independence Day Parade We would like to have our children march in costume with their families on April 14th in Boston. more... Sunday School News Much appreciation and thanks to our devoted teachers for all they do for our youth every Sunday. The Sunday School is collecting money for the Haiti relief effort over the next several weeks. Upcoming Events: Saturday March 27 – at 9:00am the Sunday School will be having a Pancake Breakfast after Liturgy. The children will once again be folding the palms for Palm Sunday. Also on that day, the St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival will take place for all students grades 7-12. more...		Floga Dance Practice Our first dance practice will be held on March 15th at 5:30 in the church hall for all age groups. This is our first meeting and it is very important that parents bring their children if they would like them to dance at our festival on June 26th. We will be talking about future practices, costumes, etc. If you have any questions please contact Georgia Amanatidis. Philoptochos Society News We will be sponsoring the Wednesday evening pot luck Lenten meal on March 3rd. Please come and celebrate this Lenten meal with us. Council of Eastern Orthodox Churches of Central Mass. Rev. Fr. Peter-Michael Preble of St. Michael's in Southbridge has been producing a half hour radio program titled "Shepherd of Souls" airing in Southbridge on WESO 970 am, Sunday mornings at 7am. One year later, the show now airs on 16 stations across the country and a new affiliate in New Zealand. Very soon, folks in the greater Worcester area will be able to listen-in, as it will begin airing at 1pm on Sunday afternoons on WARE 1250am in Ware. The signal is strong and should reach Worcester and the surrounding areas.
